At the closing session for the On the Road to Literacy Conference, Mary Madden was presented with the 2010 CeCe Tilsley New Reader Leader Award. Mary has been involved at Moraine Valley Community College’s (MVCC) Adult Literacy Program for over ten years. While there, she has contributed greatly in many tasks from providing tech support for various programs to actively serving as secretary for New Readers for New Life. Mary developed a reputation for making new students at MVCC feel comfortable and is passionate about her work with New Readers.
